Well here’s some news that will definitely have the “Beyhive” buzzing for the next few days. It appears that their beloved idol Beyoncé is back on board as the lead actress in a remake of the classic film A Star is Born.

According to S&A, the Grammy winning-singer will star opposite Bradley Cooper in a story about a young woman who enters show business and falls in love with an established male star, only to find her career rising as his goes into a decline.

In August of 2012, we reported that Clint Eastwood was originally suppose to direct this remake with Beyoncé and Bradley in the lead roles. A few months later in October, we reported that Eastwood had replaced Beyoncé with Grammy winning-jazz vocalist Esperanza Spalding.

Fast forward to 2015 and now it appears that Eastwood is no longer directing the project and Beyoncé and Bradley are back in the picture. It is also being said that Bradley is looking to make his directorial debut as well. Sources are also reporting that Beyoncé is taking this film seriously and has enrolled in a few classes to brush up on her acting skills. I personally believe that Beyoncé will give this role her all since the 1976 version of the film stars one of her music idols—Barbra Streisand.

The will be the fourth time this film has been remade but the first time featuring interracial love interests. The first version starred Janet Gaynor in 1937 followed by Judy Garland in 1954.  Check out the trailer below for the 1976 version featuring Streisand and her leading man Kristoffer Kristofferson.

Stay tuned…
