Variety  is reporting that TV One’s hit series “R&B Divas” will return in the spring for a second season.

The show, which averaged 426,000 homes during its first season, follows singers Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert, Monifah, Syleena Johnson and Keke Wyatt as they work together on a compilation album. It was a huge success for the network that also airs two other celebrity-based programs Life After  and Unsung.

“‘R&B Divas’ has definitely struck a positive chord with viewers,” said Toni Judkins, executive vice president of programming and production for TV One. “Week-after-week, the series continued to build on its audience and we’re thrilled to provide another season and a new franchise of a dynamic program that is clearly resonating with audiences.”

Also look for “R&B Divas: LA” to premiere in the third quarter. Like Atlanta, this spin-off will feature five Los Angeles-based R&B singers. As mentioned last December, casting is currently underway. However, no one has been confirmed.
