Two weeks ago, RC reported that reality-star, singer and new mommy Tamar Braxton was teaming up with Tamera Mowry-Housely, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon and Jeannie Mai for a new FOX talk show entitled, The Real. The woman-led program, which is already being described as a “no-holds-barred” version of The View, is slated to air in six different markets for a 4-week test.
Telepictures Productions and Warner Bros. announced today that The Real will be available on select FOX-owned stations in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Phoenix, Houston and Tampa (What? No Atlanta?). They also released a two-minute teaser video of the ladies getting together for the first time. Reportedly, there was no set and no script. However, things got Real, real fast…Take a look…

As you can see, The Real is led by five bold, diverse and outspoken hosts whose unique perspectives are brought to life through their candid conversation about topics ranging from their own personal lives to the news of the day to beauty, fashion and relationships. Unlike other talk shows, each of the five hosts is admittedly a “work in progress” and fearlessly invites the home audience into their lives. Their fresh points of view, youthful energy and passion will turn the traditional talk show on its head.
Here is what the President of Telepictures, Hilary Estey McLoughlin had to say about the show’s hosts:
“Tamar, Loni, Adrienne, Jeannie and Tamera are five amazing women of different ages and races, all at different places in their lives who reflect the experiences the audience is going through at the same time as they are. They have great chemistry, are fearless and so entertaining and they will bring a much needed younger point of view and sensibility to daytime this summer. We are thrilled to have the extraordinary leadership of SallyAnn Salsano, as she returns to her daytime talk roots after a very successful run in reality TV.”
