Atlantic recording artist, B.o.B celebrates the release of his third studio album, Underground Luxury which arrives in stores and online today. The project comes as a follow up to the rapper’s 2012 Gold-certified album, Strange Clouds, which spawned the multi-platinum hit singles, “Strange Clouds (feat. Lil Wayne),” “Both Of Us (feat. Taylor Swift)” and “So Good.”
Underground Luxury sees the Atlanta native pairing with the likes of T.I., 2 Chainz, Chris Brown, Juicy J, Future and more, with production from Jim Jonsin, Rock City, DJ Mustard and even B.o.B himself.
The 25-year-old rapper also covers Rolling Out magazine and here is what he told them about the new album:
“Underground Luxury is about taking whatever you have and making the best out of a situation,” B.o.B says. “It’s about turning dust into luxury. That’s my whole philosophy and mentality as an artist.”
B.o.B also talks about how his life today is a far cry from the struggles he faced before signing his record deal and the advice he would give to his 13-year-old self:
“I would tell him first, you’re not crazy,” he says. “I would tell my 13-year-old self that now is the time to really focus on what you’re going to do and to pay attention to what you like to do. Take what you like to do and exaggerate that [with imagination]. Run that motherf—- until you want to do something else. Just let yourself be.”
Check out the video below of his recent performance on The Arsenio Hall Show and don’t forget to watch B.o.B on tomorrow’s episode of The Queen Latifah Show at 6 p.m. EST.
