All eyes will be on Atlanta, GA this weekend for the Gentlemen’s Foundation 6th Annual Gentlemen’s Ball. This year’s theme is “We Are Royalty” and will recognize some of the biggest and brightest stars in the Black LGBTQ Community.
This weekend’s festivities will kick-off with empowerment workshops on Friday evening and a Men’s Health and Wellness Fair offering FREE HIV, Prostate and Blood Pressure screenings on Saturday afternoon.
Of course, the crowning touch of the weekend will be the Ball itself, which will include honors going to Oscar-winning writer of “Moonlight” Tarrell Alvin McCraney. Other recipients include “STAR” actors Miss Lawrence and Amiyah Scott, TV personality and celebrity hairstylist Derek J and many more. Six-time Grammy nominates singer Kelly Price will be the evening’s entertainment.
Check out my exclusive interview below with GB’s co-founder Gee Smalls as he talks about the weekend, the inspiration behind this year’s theme and his holistic approach to healing and empowering the Black LGBTQ community.
