VH1 has added more star power to its upcoming scripted series “Daytime Divas.” “Survivor’s Remorse” actress Tichina Arnold and “Hit the Floor” hunk McKinley Freeman will join the cast of the drama that was originally titled “Satan’s Sisters” and is based on the Star Jones book of the same name. The two will join previously announced actress Vanessa Williams as well as Chloe Bridges, Camille Guaty and Fiona Gubelmann.
“Daytime Divas” is centered on five female co-hosts of a popular daily TV talk show, ‘The Lunch Hour,’ and the fireworks that ensue each weekday when they discuss life, love, family, politics, and gossip. Williams will portray Maxine Robinson and is being described as “a formidable, powerful and decisive woman, who fears she’s being put out to pasture.”
Principle photography for “Daytime Divas” will begin in Atlanta this month and is executive produced by Jones and Suzanne de Passe. Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler will also serve as showrunners as well as executive producers.
