Outkast’s Andre 3000 is reportedly gearing up to drop a new solo album in the beginning of 2014.

According to BET’s Stephen Hill, the rapper-actor spilled the beans during a conversation he and Andre had during the Lil Wayne’s America’s Most Wanted concert this weekend. Hill claims the Grammy-winning performer is releasing a new project that will arrive in stores in the earlier part of next year. Check out the tweet below:

This is the first musical project from Andre aka 3staxx since his 2006 Outkast album, Idlewild. It doesn’t seem like it’s been that long because Andre has appeared as a special guest on so many other artist’s albums such as Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, Rick Ross and The Great Gatsby soundtrack. He has also been busy as the Master of Style for Gillette and has been flexing his acting muscles. He is starring as rock icon Jimi Hendrix in the upcoming biopic, All Is by My Side.

RC  is looking forward to the new project and will keep you posted as more information develops.

What do you think about Andre 3000 releasing new music?
