New York City was “dancing in the streets” last night as entertainment’s biggest stars attended the opening of Berry Gordy’s new splashy production “Motown: The Musical.”  All eyes were on the Great White Way as music veterans like Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson, Mary Wilson, Sting and Bono made their way into the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.  Also spotted on the red carpet were Jane Fonda, Spike Lee, Debbie Allen, Mary Hart, Kathy Lee Gifford, Melba Moore, and the Rev. Jessie Jackson. “Motown: the Musical” chronicles the rise of the legendary music label and features over 50 chart-topping classics. Click here to see more photos courtesy of The Detroit Free Press.
