Award-winning actress Halle Berry and noted Fashion Designer Michael Kors are joining forces to end world hunger through a new philanthropic campaign called Watch Hunger Stop. The two announced the partnership on Monday which hopes to raise funds and awareness through sales of Kors best-selling Runway watch. For every $295 watch sold, 100 meals will be provided to children through the U.N. World Food Programme.

For 46-year-old Berry, who recently shared that she is pregnant with her second child, this is an opportunity to discuss prenatal care and build connections with expecting mothers. “It’s so important to me, being a mom, that I can help educate women on how important it is that when you have a healthy child, it helps set them up for life.”

Kors, who has been a big supporter of the New York-based organization God’s Love We Deliver, says he wanted to have a global impact on hunger because of the immediate difference a meal makes to a starving person. “I go all over the globe traveling, and there are very few things in the world that are solvable catastrophes,”  he said. “This is one of them.”

He also went on to say that Berry was exactly what he was looking for in a partner.  “I wanted someone talented, check. Someone compassionate to the world, a great mother, someone incredibly glamorous and chic – and who makes it all look easy.”  Berry and Kors are also planning to visit places together where some of the meals will be delivered which could include Africa and Central America.
