An everyday man has only five days and limited resources to discover why he was imprisoned in a nondescript room for 15 years without any explanation.

It’s been twenty-one years since Samuel Jackson has worked with Spike Lee (Jungle Fever) but the two are teaming-up again…

Samuel L. Jackson, who is considered one of the most successful actors in Hollywood, is joining Spike Lee‘s remake of Chan-wook Park’s revenge thriller classic Old Boy.  Jackson has been cast in a small but pivotal roll in which he gets tortured by Josh Brolin who is playing the hero of the movie.

Old Boy is scheduled to start filming in New York and Louisiana this fall and will be produced by Mandate Pictures.

Additionally, Bruce Hornsby, who recently scored Lee’s latest indie film, Red Hook Summer (which opened in theaters last week) is set to compose the score for the director’s upcoming film.  Hornsby, the piano-playing songwriter best known for his 1986 hit “The Way It Is” scored Lee’s baskeball doc Kobe Doin’ Work as well.

Jackson can be seen next in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, which is slated for release on Christmas Day this year!
