BET is reporting that Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx is developing a television series for TNT called “Hit.”

The buddy crime drama will be co-written and executive produced by Foxx and centers around two former friends and football teammates who reunite as a crime fighting duo for Miami’s HIT (High Impact Team).

Also look for Foxx to star as Max Dillon/Electro in the upcoming sequel to The Amazing Spiderman. The comedic singer confirmed the news last week during an interview with Entertainment Tonight  correspondent Nancy O’Dell.

In other casting news, British actor David Harewood is currently in talks to play renaissance man Paul Robeson in an upcoming biopic. The independently produced film, Robeson is looking for a director with the hopes to start filming next year. Oscar winning actor Louis Gossett Jr. will also appear in the film.

Harewood currently stars in the Showtime drama Homeland and has appeared in Blood Diamond and The Merchant of Venice.
