NYT is reporting that mega star Beyoncé is joining forces with soft drink giant Pepsi for a hybrid project that includes commercials and print ads as well as supporting the singer’s various chosen creative projects.
“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
The multi-million dollar deal will coincide with a promotional blitz for her forthcoming untitled album due out in 2013. Commercials are expected to air after her Super bowl halftime show on Feb. 3, which is also sponsored by PepsiCo.
Her image will also appear on limited edition Pepsi cans a la Michael Jackson that will first be seen in Europe in March 2013. This is Bey’s fifth commercial campaign for Pepsi since 2002.
