Deadline is reporting that Arlen Escarpeta has been cast as R&B bad boy, Bobby Brown in Lifetime’s upcoming biopic, I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story.
The We Are Marshall actor will star opposite Yaya DaCosta as Whitney and Yolonda Ross as Houston’s bestie and former personal assistant, Robyn Crawford.
As previously reported, the film will chronicle Whitney and Bobby’s tumultuous marriage that took place at the height of Houston’s career as a singer, actress and model. The film has already been shunned by Houston’s family, particularly the couple’s only daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
Whitney’s Waiting to Exhale co-star, Angela Bassett will make her directorial debut on the project.
Look for I Will Always Love You to debut in 2015.
