EBONY is reporting that the highly anticipated movie about the life of legendary jazz trumpeter Miles Davis may finally have a working title.
According to a report on Deadline, the film is called “Kill the Trumpet Player” and is being developed by Steven Baigelman for academy award-nominee Don Cheadle. The film is also said to take some liberties with Davis’ story and will be more of a gangster movie versus a standard biopic.
Also attached to the project is Antoine Fuqua, who will direct the film.
No additional information regarding the film has been released. However, with Cheadle as the lead, we are confident that it will go over well at the box office.
