Big hair (check), big personalities (check), big voices (check)…
TV One’s “R&B Divas” stepped out in a BIG way this past Thursday night as part of the Atlanta premiere of their new reality series.
The Divas: Nicci Gilbert, Monifah, Keke Wyatt, Syleena Johnson and Faith Evans had everything in check as they waved, smiled, posed, and basked in the glory of their adoring fans at Ventanas in downtown Atlanta. The place was filled to capacity with music lovers and fans hoping to catch a glimpse of their favorite diva.
Also spotted in the crowd were Erika Dixon from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, emerging artists Tocarra Hamilton and Marques Anthony, 90’s R&B Group The Rude Boys, RL from the R&B Group Next, celebrity hairstylist Derrick J, Player’s Club vixen Chrystale Wilson, comedian Rodney Perry, actress/singer Demetria McKinney, Inside Edition’s April Woodard, TV One’s Love Addiction relationship coach Dr. Alduan Tart and YouTube sensation Funky Dineva.
Check out the Divas singing happy birthday to the ultimate diva, Whitney Houston, who would have turned 49 on Thursday. As Faith Evans explains, part of the show chronicles the preparation for their musical tribute to her for this year’s Essence Music Festival and their Whitney Houston charity album which drops in September.
