As previously reported, Little Rock is written and directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj and focuses on the group of brave Black students from Little Rock, Arkansas, who attended their city’s formerly segregated central high school in 1957, a test of the Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court decision. The group, blocked by the Arkansas National Guard and later escorted into the school by the National Guard, is known as The Little Rock Nine.

Rounding out the rest of the cast is Rebekah Brockman, Justin Cunningham, Brandon Gill, Charlie Hudson III, Crystal Lucas-Perry, Quentin MareAshley Robinson and Stephanie Umoh.  Performances for Little Rock will begin May 30-September 8 at NYC’s Sheen Center for Thought and Culture.
