Stars from Disney’s “The Jungle Book” attended the world premiere of the film Monday evening (April 4) in Los Angeles, CA. Lupita Nyong’o, Giancarlo Esposito, Sir Ben Kingsley and Neel Sethi were all smiles as they made their way down the red carpet. The advanced screening took place at the legendary El Capitan Theatre which was transformed into a beautiful, lush jungle.
In “The Jungle Book,” Mowgli (Neel Sethi) must leave the only home he’s ever known when the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba) unleashes his mighty roar. Guided by a stern panther Bagheera (Sir Ben Kingsley) and a free-spirited bear (Bill Murray), the young boy meets an array of jungle animals, including a slithery python and a smooth-talking ape. Along the way, Mowgli learns valuable life lessons as his epic journey of self-discovery leads to fun and adventure. Nyong’o portrays the the mother Wolf Raksha, Scarlett Johansson plays the massive Python Kaa, Christopher Walken is King Louie the Ape and Giancarlo Espisito is Akela the alpha male Wolf.
A number of stars turned out the screening including comedic actors Faizon Love and Kym Whitley, “black-ish” star Marcus Scribner and acclaimed actor David Oyelowo. Other celebrities spotted were actor Jason George and his family along with media personalities Perez Hilton and Mario Lopez and more.
