I had the pleasure of watching the popular Food Network series, “Beat Bobby Flay” Thursday night along with one of the show’s featured chefs, Michael “Mike” Walters from Washington D.C. Mike currently lives here in Atlanta and is one of the star chefs serving up culinary delights at T.I.’s swanky new restaurant, Scales 925. I was invited to the private viewing party by Mike’s brother and my friend, Chris Hackett and watched the episode along with Mike’s wife, his seven children, his mother and other special guests.

Here’s how it all went down: In order to Beat Bobby Flay, Mike had to go toe-to-toe with Seattle Chef, Lisa Nakamura by creating a spectacular dish using a secret ingredient of Bobby’s choice. Iron Chefs Alex Guarnaschelli and Donatella Arpaia served as judges on this particular episode and knew exactly what was needed to take Bobby down.  After defeating Chef Nakamura, Mike went up against the man himself and cooked a mouthwatering Jerk Chicken dish using his very 0wn signature “From Scratch Organic Jerk Rub.” The meal was a hit to say the least with the judges and Mike was able to tell the world,”I beat Bobby Flay.”

Check out the full episode below along with more pics from the viewing party. Thanks Chris!
