Celebrity Stylist and Costume Designer, June Ambrose is teaming up with Macy’s for this year’s Black History Month Event, ‘The Style of the Soul Era.” The panel discussion takes place on Friday, February 6 at 7 p.m. at the Macy’s Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta and features a lively discussion about the impact the 70’s had on style and fashion.
“Diana Ross–there was no woman more emblematic of ’70s disco era than her. She was unapologetic for being extravagant and glamorous. She had connections with major designers and put them all to use on stage during her multiple wardrobe changes,” says Ambrose.
Joining Ambrose is noted Costume Designer Johnetta Boone and Academic Program Director for the Art Institute of Atlanta, Dr. Courtney Hammonds. The free event is once again hosted by CBS News Anchor Tracye Hutchins. Following the conversation is the Fashion Advance Designer Competition, a special reception, Arnika Dawkins Gallery of Art and more fashion!
Oh but wait, there’s more! Ambrose is also offering the opportunity for one lucky person to win a trip for 2 to New York City, the style capital of the world, for a Macy’s shopping spree and makeover. Click here to enter! Entries are good through Feb. 28th!
See you on February 6th!
