She finds solace in her weekly session in therapy with a kind and compassionate doctor. In his presence, the process of healing takes on a spiritual dimension, as the grieving young widow reclaims her faith in God with his help … and that of the heavenly hosts of which she is not aware. As their relationship strengthens, we learn the doctor has troubles of his own and may need the patient as much as she needs him … can this band of angels ensure that he remains ‘the good doctor’? This funny, heartwarming and yet deeply provocative story, packed with original music, has proven to be a gift to actors and audiences alike.
