Beyoncé proves once again that she can be “pulled and poetic” at the same damn time! The multi-Grammy winning entertainer taps into her inner spirit for a fierce new fashion spread for CR’s Fashion Book Issue 5. The recent MTV Michael Jackson Vanguard Award recipient poses flawlessly for the camera with photos taken by Pierre Debusschere and creative direction from Riccardo Tisci. Check out the images below along with beautiful words pulled from Bey’s poetry where she pays homage to her daughter, Blue Ivy and her late grandmother.

“I’m a vessel for all that isn’t right, for break-ups and lies and double cross. I sing into that vessel a healing light.”
“I’m tuned to spirits, the emotions of others. And I feel her prescence all the time though I never met my grandmother.”
“You call me a singer, but I’m called to transform, to suck up the grief, anxiety, and loss of those who hear me into my song’s form.”
“I learned at a very early age, when I need to tap some extra strength, to put my persona, Sasha, on stage.”
