Tika Sumpter plays John Stamos’ girlfriend, Clarissa in My Man Is a Loser

In July of 2012, we reported that actress Tika Sumpter was starring in a new ensemble comedy alongside Emmy-nominated actor, John Stamos, titled My Man Is a Loser.
The film centers on two married men (Michael Rapaport and Bryan Callen) who, in an attempt to be better husbands, enlist their playboy buddy (Stamos) to help get their mojo back. When their attempts backfire, the wives wonder if the new versions of their husbands are even worse, and begin to have a few hijinks of their own. Unfortunately the film was not released last year as had previously been reported and we didn’t hear much about it…until now.
Yesterday Step One of Many Entertainment announced that Lionsgate has acquired North American rights to the film and will receive a theatrical and VOD and date release for this year.
“We couldn’t have chosen a better partner for both the theatrical release and the latest video on demand technologies,” said Eric Bamberger, Producer and Co-Founder of Step One of Many Entertainment. “The characters give the story universal appeal, and Lionsgate will help make the film accessible, whether it’s a night out with friends, or at home for movie night.”
As previously reported, Step One of Many Entertainment will also deploy billions of Digital impressions including millions of Twitter and Facebook fans and followers helping to promote the film.
