Still haven’t seen the 12 Years a Slave?  Well maybe BET can help you.

The network is hosting a one-hour behind-the-scenes look at the film that has everyone talking. The TV special will be hosted by Access Hollywood’s  Shaun Robinson and features the film’s stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, Lupita Nyong’o and director, Steve McQueen.  Reportedly, the cast will  also be joined by critics and scholars for a lively discussion that was taped before a live studio audience.

As previously reported, 12 Years a Slave  is based on the memoirs of Solomon Northup, a once freed slave who was kidnapped and placed back into harsh southern slavery for 12 years.

The film will open with larger distribution this weekend.

The Back Story: 12 Years A Slave  airs Friday, November 1 at 9p.m. on BET.
