At the top of the year, we reported that comedian Martin Lawrence was teaming up with actor and producer Kelsey Grammer for a new “Odd Couple” type sitcom. Well now the series has found a home in FX.

FX closed the deal recently with Lionsgate Television and Lionsate’s Debmar-Mercury for the new untitled sitcom. The network has reportedly ordered 10 episodes of the show and will order up to 90 more episodes if it does well.

According to Indie Wire, the series will star Lawrence and Grammer as two Chicago lawyers from vastly backgrounds who unexpectedly meet in court on the worst day of their lives. Brought together by fate and greed, they develop a partnership and friendship, forcing each other to find the balance between the ethical and the unscrupulous in both their professional and personal lives.

The series is written and executive produced by Bob Boyette and Robert Horn whose writing credits include Family Matters, Perfect Strangers, Living Single  and Designing Women.

RC will keep you posted as more of this show develops.
