Jamie Foxx can now add two Golden Buckets to his growing number of accomplishments. The versatile actor received double honor last night at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles, CA. The first award of the night was the MTV Generation Award which Foxx received for his stellar career as a stand-up comedian and successful television and film actor. His “Django” co-star Kerry Washington presented him with the award.

“I want to thank my mother and father, my sister,” Foxx began his MTV Generation Award acceptance speech. “It takes a family to hold you down. We all live in the same house, which is crazy … My father and my mother have been divorced for 18 years — it’s crazy. And he still dates.”

Foxx also thanked his “Any Given Sunday” director Oliver Stone for casting him in the film.  “I remember going in and auditioning for Oliver Stone and he said I was terrible because TV is loud.”

Foxx, thanked Jackson and applauded him for “being the baddest actor in the entire game.” This award was presented by fellow comedians Chris Rock and Adam Sandler.

Foxx joins a long who’s who list of other actors who have received the MTV Generation Award including Johnny Deep, Reese Witherspoon and his “Collateral” co-stars Tom Cruise.  Foxx has also appeared in a number of Hollywood blockbusters including “Ali,” “Ray” and “Dreamgirls.” His next three projects include playing the President of the United States in “White House Down,” the super-villain Electro in the sequel to “The Amazing Spider-Man” and producing a horror series for the Syfy network that will air this October.
