Television and film actor Taye Diggs is teaming up with Kellogg’s and the Got Milk? campaign to bring awareness to childhood hunger. The 42-year-old is using his celebrity to help the cereal brand provide over one million breakfasts to children in need.
The former Private Practice star is currently appearing in a television commercial as well as print ads with his three-year-old son, Walker Nathaniel.
Diggs recently talked to PEOPLE about the project and the joy of working with Walker: “Being able to shoot the Got Milk? ad with my son was one of the better times in life just because, obviously, the ad is going to last forever.”
While being in front of all the lights and cameras is second nature to Diggs, it took a bit of convincing and a lot of imagination to keep little Walker’s attention during filming.
“We had to constantly make up games and excuses just to keep him occupied,” the actor shares. “So when it seems like he’s smiling, he’s actually roaring because he wanted to be a tiger.”
