Chicago rapper Common is gearing up to release an EP that will accompany his new indie drama called LUV. The budding actor and first time producer is also planning to debut a mixtape in the spring and then a full album in the fall.
He revealed all the music news recently on The Jimmy Fallon Show while promoting the coming-of-age movie which also stars Hollywood veterans Danny Glover and Charles S. Dutton
“I’m coming out with an EP at the end of this month that’s accompanying the movie Luv, and then I’ve got a mixtape – the first mixtape I’ve ever done in my life – will be coming out in April,” he said. “And then an album in September.”
Common is also still looking to work with No I. D. and father-to-be Kanye West on the untitled album which will also be his tenth studio project.
