Multifaceted rapper Common is gearing up for the U.S. premiere of his new indie film, LUV.
RC reported back in September about the project, which was supposed to debut this past November. The movie was acquired by Indomina Entertainment earlier this year and showed at both Sundance Film Festival and LA Film Festivals, respectively.
The cast of LUV
LUV centers on an 11-year old orphan who is forced to face the unpleasant truth about his uncle during one harrowing day in the streets of Baltimore and is based on the life of the film’s director, Sheldon Candis. It also stars Dennis Haybert, Danny Glover, Michael K. Williams, Meagan Good and Charles S. Dutton.

LUV opens on January 18. It will also air on BET for its television debut.
