The high priestess of neo soul Erykah Badu is trading in her traditional head wrap for a cowboy hat in a new black western called “They Die by Dawn.”
The “Window Seat” singer joins an all-star cast including Idris Elba, Rosario Dawson, Isaiah Washington, Jessie Williams and Giancarlo Espisito.
Directed by Jeymes Samuel, the story is set in Langston, Oklahoma and follows four outlaws with bounties on their heads who decided to face off against each other in the ultimate shootout. The winner takes home the collective bounty. No word yet on when the film will be released.
