New Whitney Houston greatest-hits album set for Fall release

Posted by | Cyrena Rose

The recently deceased Whitney Houston, who would have celebrated her 49th birthday yesterday (August 9th), will have an updated greatest set in stores in late fall.

While a tracklist, title and release date has not been announced, sources have suggested it will be the first compilation to span her entire career  and include the familiar hit versions of her Billboard chart-topping  singles.

The new album will follow the divas already released Whitney: The Greatest Hits, which dropped in 2000 and sold 2.6 million copies and counting.  Since Houston’s passing on February 11, 2012 the album is the fourth highest-selling album of the year to date.

Whitney fans, don’t forget Sparkle (her last film) hits theaters on August 17th!

In the meantime, take a look at Whitney’s cameo in Gimme A Break in 1984:[youtube id=”2z7Dfqgo0GM” width=”600″ height=”350″]
