Lance Reddick (Oz, The Wire, Lost, Fringe) is negotiations to join the cast of White House Down; an action film directed by Roland Emmerich. Academy award-winning actor, Jamie Foxx has been cast as POTUS in the film and will star alongsided Channing Tatum and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
In the film, a Secret Service agent (Tatum) is tasked with saving the life of the U.S. President after the White House is overtaken by a paramilitary group. Reddick will play Colonel Janowitz, whose responsibility is the Speaker of the House, to be played by Richard Jenkins.
S&A reports James Woods and Joey King round out the cast for White House Down, a film that Tatum’s Iron Horse Entertainment company is executive producing.
White House Down is slated for a November 2013 release.
