Actor Will Smith will make his directorial debut retelling the biblical story of the two brothers Cain and Abel.
According to Deadline Hollywood, the “Men in Black” star will use the film about the battling brothers as his directorial debut. The film is currently under development at Sony and is being produced by Smith’s production company Overbrook Entertainment. So far, the working title of the film is The Redemption of Cain.
Smith’s project will join a number of other bible based films that are currently in the works. Russell Crowe is slated to star in a film about Noah and Steven Spielberg and Ridley Scott both have Moses projects brewing.
Will’s next film, however, is a Sci-Fi adventure alongside his son Jaden called After Earth.
