To look at Vanessa L. Williams, you would think that she has lived a fairytale life; the movies, endorsements, the award-winning musical and Broadway career, and the men. But this former Miss America’s life has been far from perfect and she is telling it all in a new memoir, You Have No Idea, co-written by her mother, Helen Williams.
The 40-something year-old beauty sat down recently with ABC’s Nightline to discuss a number of secrets she has held until now including being molested as a young girl by an 18 year-old girl and having an abortion in high school.
Williams also addresses the racist backlash she experienced being the first Black Miss America and the Penthouse magazine scandal that eventually forced her to give up her crown.
