Actress Meagan Good’s rep tells TMZ she is engaged to producer DeVon Franklin!
Good and Franklin, a 7th Day Adventist preacher, have known each other for years. According to Meagan’s rep, the preacher proposed last month in L.A. They began dating just after production wrapped on Jumping the Broom … which Meagan starred in, and DeVon produced.
What do we know about DeVon Fraklin?
Well, he is an African-American studio executive who currently serves as Vice President of Production for Columbia Pictures, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment, making him one of the youngest individuals in that position in the industry. He oversaw the remake of the blockbuster, The Karate Kid, starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, which grossed over $350 million worldwide. He also worked on The Pursuit of Happyness and Hancock both starring Will Smith, the faith-based hit Not Easily Broken, produced by Bishop T. D. Jakes and of the before mentioned Jumping the Broom!
Kudos to Meagan Good! The couple have not set a wedding date.
