Over the last few months, there has been a lot of talk about a spin-off of the hugely popular TV One reality-series, “R&B Divas.” Many have speculated and a lot names were tossed around. However, nothing was ever confirmed until now!
According to yesterday’s TV One press release, the new franchise “R&B Divas: LA” will follow the lives and careers of six Los Angeles-based singers: Kelly Price, Chante Moore, Lil Mo, Claudette Ortiz, Dawn Robinson (formerly of EnVogue) and Michel’le Toussaint.
Eight shows have already been ordered with an expected debut in the 3rd quarter of 2013. Production on the show begins this month.

The official show synopsis reads as follows:
Over eight episodes, viewers and fans will follow these multitalented ladies as they seek to individually and collectively re-establish themselves in the pop culture limelight with new deals, new drama and new directions for their careers and their lives. Success is the only option for these six friends – but is there room at the top for them all?
