BET is reporting that Live Nation has pulled the plug on Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group Tour. The show which featured Ross along with Meek Mill and Wale had planned to visit five more cities including NYC.  However, promoters were very concerned for fans safety after Ross and company received death threats.

Concerns began after a ‘travel warning’ was issued to Ross via YouTube from members of the N.C. based gang known as the Gangster Disciples.  This warning caused promoters to cancel two dates in North Carolina that were scheduled for last night in Charlotte and tonight in Greensboro.

The gang is reportedly at odds with Ross over his use of their logo, the six point Star of David, for his Black Bar Mitzvah  mixtape cover and for referencing their leader Larry Hover in his hit single, “BMF.”

Here is what Ross had to say to fans about stopping the tour:

“I want to apologize to all of my fans who I missed performing for due to the cancellations and want to let them know that I will get back to their cities. I enjoyed my experience with my little bros Wale and Meek Mill and I’m ready to get back in the studio to make good music.”

On the brighter side of things, check out Ross in the  photo below for GQ as the magazine’s ‘Bawse of the Year’ …
