Actor/Comedian Martin Lawrence is returning to television! CBS has ordered a comedy pilot starring the famed comedian in which he will play a widowed father of two, who loses his construction job & decides to enroll in the police academy.
Lawrence is no stranger to sitcoms as he is most famous for his own show on FOX network’s most successful live-action sitcom, Martin. CBS had been pursuing Lawrence for nearly a year and offered him the opportunity to develop two new comedy pilots; expect to see the untitled Martin Lawrence pilot this May.
