Last year, we reported that British heart-throb Idris Elba was starring alongside the sexy Taraji P. Henson in a thriller entitled No Good Deed. At the time, the release date was schedule for 2013. Well, now it has been pushed all the way back to the spring of 2014.
According to Box Office Mojo, Sony/Screen Gems has set the new premiere date for April 25, 2014. Apparently, the previous date of January 17, 2014 was the same opening weekend of another Will Packer-produced film, Ride Along, starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart.
No Good Deeds centers on a former District Attorney, and mother of 2 young children (Henson), who are kidnapped and terrorized by a handsome but mysterious stranger (Elba), who she lets into their home to wait for help, after his car runs off the road nearby. Rounding out the cast is popular Mexican actress Kate del Castillo and Henry Simmons.
Let’s hope the new date proves to be a winning move for the film.
RC will keep you posted on No Good Deed as a poster and promotional video will probably be released later on this year.
