Two weeks ago, we reported about VH1 green lighting Kimberly Elise’s new scripted series, Hit the Floor (previously –titled Bounce ). Well now the network has set a premiere date and released a teaser video for the new series.
Hit the Floor follows Taylour Paige as Ahsha, a sheltered young woman who goes against her mother’s wishes and becomes a member of the Los Angeles Devil Girls dance team. Elise plays Ahsha’s mother Sloane, a former Los Angeles Devil Girl who knows the temptations of that life all too well. The series also stars Charlotte Ross as the dance team squad manager, Logan Browning as the ruthless star captain and Dean Cain as the former All-Star who returns to coach his old NBA team.
