Congratulations to Cee Lo Green!  The former Voice  judge has a new unscripted series that is coming to TBS.

According to THR,  the Turner cable network has ordered six-episodes of The Cee Lo Life  with plans to debut the series in 2014.  The show will follow Green as he tries to balance his hectic schedule of producing, recording, and performing. This series will also reunite Green with former Goodie Mob members Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo as they resurrect the classic hip-hop group.

Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic movies says,“With his distinctive voice, winning personality and remarkable ability to tap into a wide range of musical styles, Cee Lo Green has risen to the top of the music industry…This new TBS series will give viewers the chance to get to know Cee Lo Green, who is without a doubt one of the hardest-working men in show business. The Cee Lo Life is certain to be a smart, fun and funny journey packed with a lot of great music.”

Nick Cannon23Are you ready for the hippest trip in America?  Well, Nick Cannon thinks so.

The America’s Got Talent  host is reportedly in negotiations for the rights to the Soul Train  franchise. According to THR, Cannon is looking to reboot the show into a “modern-day-format…with modern stars like The Dream and Meek Mill commanding Soul Train dance lines.”

As previously reported Cannon signed a deal with NBC last year to develop and produce scripted and unscripted programs for the network. The deal included a revival of his hugely popular MTV improv show, Wild ‘N Out.

Soul Train  was the “longest-running, first run nationally syndicated show in television history” and aired from 1971 to 2006. The show’s creator, Don Cornelius died Feb. 2012 from a self-inflicted gun wound.

RC will keep you posted as more of this story develops.
