Garcelle Beauvais has joined the cast of Roland Emmerich’s White House Down. The thriller already stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Lance Reddick.
Beauvais starred opposite Foxx in his sitcom, The Jamie Foxx Show, which ran on the WB from 1996 to 2001. Her character was the object of Foxx’s attention for much of the run, with the two eventually dating and even getting engaged.
In White House Down, Garcelle will play Foxx’s wife (the First Lady) in the movie, which shoots in Montreal this fall.
Beauvais will next be seen playing someone else’s wife – Denzel Washington’s – in Flight, that will be in theaters November 2nd.
