It was all about philanthropy recently at the “Spring Into Action Soiree” presented by The Savvyy Foundation. The non-profit organization hosted its inaugural event at Shula’s 347 Grill and featured some of Atlanta’s “best and brightest” influencers, community leaders, and young professionals.
The Savvy Foundation offers programs to youth in areas of arts, music, creative entrepreneurship as well as health and wellness. Their vision is to develop venues for mentoring, educating and encouraging youth regarding artistic expression, healthy choices, and well-informed career decisions.
WSB TV News Reporter Nicole Carr formally introduced Savvy Foundation’s Executive Team including Board Chairman Winston A. Wilson. The team shared impactful stories on how camp’s and mentor’s shaped the course of their lives while raising awareness for funding their initiatives and enlightened guest on their work in the Atlanta Metro area and across the country. There were generous on site donations made by several guest through a silent auction as well as financial contributions pledged by guest.
Attendees enjoyed Guest enjoyed an atmosphere of networking with complimentary lite bites courtesy of Shula’s 347 Grill, a tantalizingly soulful musical soundtrack provided by the Quiana Zenobia Experience (Touring background vocalist for Grammy Nominated Recording Artist B.o.B).
Nicole Carr (News Reporter at WSBTV) made guests laugh, smile, took pictures with them and made them think about how they can be apart of the work that the Savvy Foundation is doing with the next generation while pledging her and her families support as well. The event wrapped up with the gleeful announcing of the silent auction winners, stay tuned for future endeavors from the Savvy Foundation.
