Veteran actor Wood Harris and VH1 reality-star and rapper, T.I. have joined the Super Hero franchise, Ant-Man. The film, which is based on the 1962 Marvel comic character, features an all-star cast including Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, and Corey Stoll.
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
No word yet on what roles Harris and T.I. will play in the film. [Indie Wire]
In other related news, Scott Mescudi better known as Kid Cudi has joined the upcoming drama, Meadowland. In the wake of her son’s disappearance, a mother goes down an unexpected and dangerous path towards acceptance and her healing process takes an unforeseen turn.
The film stars Olivia Wilde as the mother and Luke Wilson as the father, who is also a New York City police officer. No word yet on Cudi’s role in the film. Principal shooting begins this month in NYC.
Also, look for Cudi to appear as “Cedric” in the new romantic comedy, Two Night Stand debuting this September. [Variety]
