For years, multi-talented actress Tisha Campbell-Martin has made audiences laugh as the “sassy, tell-it-like-it-is” Gina from the 90’s comedy series, Martin. However, the 40-something-year-old singer and entrepreneur recently revealed a childhood secret that was not so humorous. Martin was raped by an adult at the tender age of three-years-old.
While appearing on The Daily Helpline, Martin was giving some helpful advice to a guest who had been sexually assaulted as well when she admitted for the first time publicly that she had been a victim of rape. Martin urged the African-American woman to move on with her life and to forgive her assailant.
“You can no longer be a victim, you have to be victorious at this point,” said Martin to the guest.
