They say Black is the new Black in tinsel town and by the looks of Vanity Fair’s March cover, I’m thoroughly convinced. The high end magazine is celebrating diversity in a major way with six noted African-American actors on the three fold cover of its 20th Anniversary Hollywood Issue.
12 Years a Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor and George Clooney look rather dapper along with the beautiful Julia Roberts sitting comfortably on Mandela star Idris Elba’s lap for the front cover.
The inside fold features 12 Years a Slave actress Lupita Nyong’o looking like a golden goddess. She is joined by Dallas Buyer’s Club star Jared Leto, Fruitvale Station’s Michael B. Jordan and Mandela’s Naomie Harris.
The final inside fold features beauties Margot Robbie, Lea Seydoux, Brie Larson and Chadwick Boseman, whose riveting performance as Jackie Robinson in 42, received critical acclaim. Boseman will also star as the Godfather of Soul, James Brown in the upcoming biopic, Get on Up.
Congrats to all of the actors and actresses. The historic issue Vanity Fair will be available on newsstands next week.
