Multi-platinum selling artist Usher Raymond is returning to the popular music competition show, The Voice this month and the singer could not be happier.
According to ESSENCE, Raymond is teaming up once again with music superstars Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Shakira for another season of heart-pounding entertainment.
“You make investments in these artists, these talents,” Usher told Extra. “And there’s something that can happen that’s positive… I’m excited about the potential of what’s going on to happen, the new ideas that’ll just kind of come up. I’m shocking myself a lot of time cause I don’t know what I’m doing when I’m in there. I just kinda go with what I feel.”
Raymond is also looking to debut some new music when he returns to the show. That is what RCA CEO Peter Edge told Hits Daily Double during an interview last month. According to him, Usher was back in the studio creating some “really outstanding music.”
In addition to The Voice, Usher will star as boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard in the new biopic, Hand of Stone, slated to premiere sometime this year.
Season 6 of The Voice airs February 24 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
