True Colors Theatre Company is pleased to announce that House of Payne, Greenleaf, and Black Mirror actress Denise Burse will take the stage this summer as Dot, in Colman Domingo‘s lucid comedy, directed by Tony winner——Kenny Leon.

In the Shealy house, Christmas means time for family gatherings. Only this holiday, Dotty and her three grown children gather with more than the holiday spirit in mind. As Dotty struggles to hold on to her failing memory, her children must fight to balance care for their mother and care for themselves. Crackling with humor, this lucid comedy grapples aging parents, midlife crises, and the heart of an urban West Philly neighborhood.

Stay close to RC as more of the cast will be revealed in the coming weeks.

I also got a chance to chat with Burse for an upcoming edition of UPFRONT where she talked about how a real-life situation has already prepared her for the role and more.
