Check out the trailer and a few first look images of RZA‘s upcoming drama, “Love Beats Rhymes” starring rapper Azealia Banks, R&B songtress Jill Scott and Oscar winner Common.
The film was originally titled “Coco” and stars Banks as a struggling rapper who enrolls in a poetry class thinking that her rhymes will impress her teacher, Professor Dixon (played by Scott). Instead, Dixon challenges Coco to seek real meaning in her lyrics, setting her on a journey of discovery that takes her through rap clubs and poetry slams, leading her to find her true voice—and true love. “Love Beats Rhymes” also features Lucien Laviscount, Hana Mae Lee, Method Man and Lorraine Toussaint.
The movie was written by Nicole Jefferson Asher and will available On-Demand beginning December 1, 2017 along with a DVD release on January 2, 2018.
