It was all about Cynthia Bailey Thursday night at Atlanta’s Suite Food Lounge. The towering fashion model and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star was honored during KONTROL Magazine’s “Women of Style” Power Dinner. Each year the publication teams up with Effen Vodka to recognize women who have made immeasurable contributions to the worlds of fashion, beauty and style.

Bailey is without a doubt very deserving of this year’s award considering her decades long career as a print and runway model.

She first signed on to NYC’s famed Wilhelmina Models at the tender age of 18 has since gone on to grace catwalks all around Europe. She has also appeared on two covers for ESSENCE and is one of a few African-American models to ever cover VANITY FAIR.

The fashion maven most recently appeared in the nude in honor of her 50th birthday and proved that some things really do get better with time. She also has the very successful Bailey Agency School of Fashion and the very stylish Cynthia Bailey Eyewear.

Special invited guests included her mother Barbara Bailey, her RHOA co-star Marlo Hampton, BMI executive Catherine Brewton, singer and reality TV producer Nicci Gilbert, UPSCALE Magazine’s Satchel B. Jester, YouTube sensation Funky Dineva and celebrity hairstylists Gocha Hawkins and Nikk Nelson.
