You know you a “bad mama jama” when 3-time Oscar winning-actress Meryl Streep will speak at your Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony. Well that’s exactly what happened this week to award winning-actress Viola Davis. The star of “How to Get Away with Murder” and “Fences” was presented with the 2,597th star in Los Angeles, CA this past Thursday and was praised by Streep, who referred to her as “possessed” and a “force of nature.”
“She’s possessed of a blazing incandescent talent. She is arguably the most immediate responsive artist I have ever worked with. She is so alive, she glistens,” said Streep. “She’s a gift to writers. She plants herself in a scene where she has no words and she writes paragraphs with her eyes. She’s a force of nature. A geyser of emotion. There seems to be no limit to her source.”
Davis, who looked radiant in her fitted white dressed, was brought to tears by Streep’s words and was regretful that her deceased father was not there to witness this moment with her. She was, however, overwhelmed by the love that was present for her including her husband, daughter, family and adoring fans.
“I cannot believe my life right now that Meryl Streep spoke at my Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony with my handsome husband and a beautiful daughter and my family,” said Davis. “It’s like my life flashing before my eyes and all I can say is God has blessed my life in abundance.”
